Chemical Feed Systems: Operation, Calibration & Troubleshooting

A practical, manufacturer-neutral course on liquid chemical-feed systems used at water and wastewater facilities. It covers the major parts of a feed system, the difference between target dose and actual feed output, safe feed-rate verification concepts, common loss-of-prime and flow problems, inspection of tubing and injection points, redundancy, documentation, and escalation. The course does not prescribe chemical-specific treatment doses.

What you’ll learn

  • Identify the basic components of a typical liquid chemical-feed system.
  • Distinguish target process dose from actual chemical-product feed rate.
  • Explain why chemical-feed equipment must be checked and calibrated using approved facility/manufacturer procedures.
